Arizona Crash & EDR Services is owned by Troy Kranz. Troy has over 29 years of total law enforcement experience. He has been a traffic crash investigator for 23 years and is currently working full time for a large law enforcement organization in their traffic investigations unit. He first used the Vertronix crash tool (the predecessor of the Bosch tool) in 2003. He regularly uses the Bosch crash data retrieval system, the Berla iVE tool, and the Hyundai/Kia GIT tools to obtain data for criminal prosecutions.

Troy has over 1850 hours of crash investigation classroom-time through organizations such as Northwestern University, the Institute of Police Technology & Management (IPTM), and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).

Troy is currently accredited as a crash reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists (ACTAR), Accreditation #1762. He has an Arizona Private Investigator’s license. He is a current member of SATAI, the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS). He also is a Berla Certified Vehicle System Forensic Operator, Technician and Examiner.

Troy has a current FAA Part 107 pilot certificate as is currently the Unmanned Aircraft Coordinator for a large police agency.
